Do we all think the same. Are we very different from each other? How different? How close or how far are we in our responses when we get exposed to the same external stimuli? We respond differently to the same external inputs. This is what painters, musicians, designers, dancers perhaps try and achieve – to give different meanings. How much can we direct or even manipulate the thinking of the viewer? How much can we change the direction of thought itself?
This is what most artists try to achieve. When we are not able to convey a message, a feeling or an emotion with just words, we then turn to art.
Do we want our beliefs to be tested on what we understand to be the truths and the untruths? Could there be several versions of both? Can we seek out our portrayal of what we see as reality and bend it in a way that it resonates to us differently and in a more meaningful way?
Shadowfax was "the Lord of all horses". He was a descendant of Felaróf, of the race of the long-lived Mearas, the greatest horses of Middle-earth. Shadowfax was capable of comprehending human speech and was said to run faster than the wind. Originally belonging to the House of Eorl, Lord of Rohan, Shadowfax was too wild to be tamed by the Rohirrim. Eventually, Théoden, the 17th king of Rohan, gave him to the wizard Gandalf the White.
The original artwork was sold for charity.
