This is a painting of Jesus in a way that was never been done before, in a way Jesus should be seen, a one of a kind.Artists constantly seek to discover new ways of expression, and it is a wonderful journey. The art process makes its way through this magical voyage that consumes me completely - pushing me to find a way to materialise an intellectual concept into an art form. Hence the composition for Cristo Rei was critical. 
The face with all the colours show fortitude, the highly complex facial expression lends an intensely positive impression that is redolent of emotion, while the hands tell a story of compassion and glory. Christ the Redeemer was altered so much, that you find elements of both realism and fantasy develop and then disintegrate before your eyes. 
We may observe the lines the clothes make, it’s like a cradle which cups the heart which is one of the focal points of the painting. If you complete the circle formed by the arcs of the clothes the centre is the face of Cristo. We get inspired by anything unique and touching. We firmly believe in getting that unexpected, allowing for uniqueness and intrigue to lead the creation of a piece of art work. This is key in developing a concept that will resonate with the inner self of the viewer forever.
The art subject was taken from Christ the Redeemer - the Art Deco statue of Jesus Christ in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Cristo Rei means Christ the King in Portuguese.
